The Mayan Path – Gratitude Circle

A sacred gathering guided by the wisdom of the Chol Q’ij and the Fire of Gratitude ————

About This Ceremony

The Mayan Path – Gratitude Circle is a sacred space to return to the origin — to the eternal rhythm of the Chol Q’ij, the Original Mayan Calendar from Guatemala.
The Chol Q’ij is more than a calendar — it is a living map of the soul, guiding us through the cycles of nature, time, and spirit. Each day carries a Nahual (Ch’umilal) — a sacred energy that reflects the mission, purpose, and spiritual path we came to embody on Earth.

Through the remembrance of these cycles, we learn to walk in harmony with the Spirit on Earth, to live with awareness of our purpose, and to honor the unity between human, nature, and the Divine.

The Fire — Ixtoj

In the Mayan tradition, Fire (Ixtoj) is the living connection between humans and the Divine — a messenger that carries our gratitude, prayers, and offerings to the heart of the Creator (Ruk’ux Kaaj) and to the heart of Mother Earth (Ruk’ux Ulew).

Each fire becomes a symbol of reconnection — a sacred bridge reminding us who we are, where we come from, and what we are here to offer.
It is through Fire that we express gratitude, release heaviness, and awaken devotion.
In this way, gratitude itself becomes a prayer, and every offering a seed of light for the collective.

The Intention

This circle is a community space for men and women who feel called to honor the Sacred Path of Spirit, and to sit once more around the fire — with love, respect, and humility.
It is a space to remember our original unity with the Divine, guided by the Ajq’ijab’ (initiated Mayan spiritual guides) who carry the ancestral wisdom and prayers of this lineage.

Together, we come to:

  1. Offer gratitude for life and the cycles that sustain us

  2. Honor our ancestors and their teachings

  3. Reconnect with our hearts (Ixq’iq) as the sacred temple of Spirit

  4. Realign with the rhythms of nature and the wisdom of the Earth

  5. Pray for harmony, healing, and collective awakening

Each gathering honors a specific Nahual energy from the Chol Q’ij, inviting us to walk in balance and integrate its teachings through ceremony, storytelling, music, and reflection.

This is an offering for those who feel a deep resonance with ancestral wisdom — who wish to bring harmony between heart and earth, and to walk in beauty, prayer, and remembrance.

We honor the traditional ways of the Mayan lineage, giving thanks to the lands that hold us, and offering our prayers with devotion, humility, and love.

This is not a performance or a trend — it is a living ceremony, a sacred exchange, and a prayer for peace.
A return to the fire of the heart, where gratitude becomes the bridge between worlds.
